Q: What does a session entail?
A: During a 45 minute session inside the salt cave, clients relax in a zero-gravity chair inside a dimly light environment. Meditation music plays to quiet your mind, while the twinkling lights above and the beautiful salt fireplace help you feel comfy and cozy. Just sit back, relax, and breathe!
Q: What do I wear inside the salt cave?
A: You have the freedom to wear whatever you would like inside the salt cave, but we recommend dressing comfortably. The only requirement is that each person removes their shoes, so socks are necessary for your session.
Q: Is the cave hot like a sauna?
A: The salt cave is very carefully temperature controlled to maintain the best environment for the salt. The temperate usually falls between 68 and 70 degrees, so if you tend to run cold, you may want to consider dressing a bit warmer.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: To make an appointment for a session, please feel free to call the location you are looking to visit directly. You’ll need to provide your name, the number of people in your party, and your phone number, and as long as we have the space available, we reserve those spots for you.
Q: How many people are in each session?
A: The salt cave seats up to 10 people at one time. Depending on when your appointment is, there may or may not be other people in that session.
Q: Is halotherapy safe for everyone?
A: Halotherapy is safe for just about everyone, whether you’re young, old, pregnant, or not. However it is not recommended for those who have recently undergone an organ transplant.
Q: Where does the salt come from?
A: Himalayan Pink Salt is imported from the Punjab, Pakistan region of the Himalayan mountains. It is said to be leftover from the primordial sea, which left behind the salt deposits as it evaporated.
Q: Do I need to check with my doctor before making a session?
A: Halotherapy is safe for virtually everyone, however, you are more than welcome to discuss with your doctor before experiencing a session inside the salt cave.
Q: Can I bring my phone inside the salt cave?
A: Cell phones and other electronics are not permitted inside the salt cave. You may leave your belonging in the provided cubbies, out in your car, or at home for the duration of your session.
Q: Will I need to shower immediately after a salt cave session?
A: You do not need to shower immediately after a salt cave session. You can carry on with your day as usual.
Q: How do I find out about upcoming events?
A: We love hosting events in our salt caves, and invite you to try out each of our special events and classes. All events are listed on the individual Facebook page of each location. We also send out a monthly newsletter which lists the events for each location. If you would like to join our mailing list, please sign up below!
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: While an appointment is not required, we typically ask that if you know what day and time you’re looking to come in for a session, that you give us a call to hold those spots. Otherwise, if you choose to just walk in, there is a chance we may not be able to accommodate you.
Q: What happens if I’m late for my appointment?
A: Since our sessions begin promptly at the top of each hour, we ask you arrive 10-15 minutes before your schedule appointment time. Once the session begins, we are not able to allow anyone to enter the cave. If you are late and arrive after the session has started, we would be happy to reschedule your appointment.
